Description
Cerberus was a three-headed dog who guarded the gates of the underworld. This route has three distinct crack cruxes and guards the gate to Cracked Canyon.
Start in an alcove, and climb up and right, following a hand crack up to a ledge. Above lies the first crux finger crack with a fun tips section (you can plug a 0.4 before it's 0.1s and 0.2s). Keep going up and left on jugs to gain a big ledge. The next crux is the slightly overhung hand crack. Plug in some gear, crank to get a good jug above the lip, and pull over to gain ledge number 2. To start the final section, you can go right and climb some horizontal cracks before pulling into the finger crack. At the finish, slap out left to the arete, and look for a jug to clip the chains from. This climb is kind of a journey, but it's a worthy one.
