Description
A fun outing in the classic Scottish tradition. This was completed in a snowstorm; grades may feel easier in dry conditions, and protection will surely be easier, too.
P1: Start at the base of Central Gully’s waterfall/ice bulge. Climb directly up the bulge to access a grassy ledge (WI3/4). Alternatively, it is possible to continue up Central before traversing back left onto the ledge.
P2: Rising from the middle of the ledge is an obvious corner. Establish yourself in the corner and climb up steep terrain to exit left onto a sloping ledge to a fixed belay. (M6)
P3: Ascend the obvious turf seam past small pound-in placements, maneuvering past a block on the right and into a small alcove with a horizontal crack and a few fixed pins. (M4/5)
Rappel the route.
