JULY 5 UPDATE FROM PARK MANAGEMENT:
ALL SEASONAL CLIMBING CLOSURES FOR CLIMBING AND SLACKLINING WILL BE LIFTED ON FRIDAY, JULY 7TH THIS WEEK.
THANKS, EVERYONE FOR YOUR HELP IN OBSERVING RESTRICTIONS DURING THE NESTING SEASON!
There are many seasonal raptor closures with varying dates and specific boundaries. These generally effect The Monument, Kiss of the Lepers, Picnic Lunch Wall and/or Smith Rock group, and possibly elsewhere. These usually run from February to the beginning of August, but each closure is usually shorter than this, and is dependent on the birds' behavior. Location
On Picnic Lunch Wall. Look for a vertical wall into a gently overhanging one with red rock on top. Has a sister route that splits off and rejoins at the anchor
Description
Super awesome route. Starts on 5.12 up until a no hands rest. Pull through some big moves on flat edges to gain a left facing plate. Pull through a burly v8 sequence to get a left facing arête. More 5.12 to the top slab (vertical). From here, navigate through a minefield of tiny edges on perfect rock. High in the grade.
