Description

This route starts directly under the "pulpit" on the Red Pulpit and goes straight up over it. Above the pulpit, keep going straight up to the right of the Red Pulpit crack route. The first 12' are the crux.

Location

This route starts directly under the "pulpit" on the Red Pulpit.

Protection

Standard rack with some pretty small stuff. The first place for a good piece is above the crux so use a crash pad for the first 12'

No, I don't have a problem with it. I'm just looking for some clarity. I'm also really glad this route is in the database - it's a real positive for the community. Sep 11, 2017

So am I seeing this correctly? It's a two move V2 to 5.9 to finish out the first 15 feet, to unprotected 5.6 to the top? Sep 8, 2017

John, Hannah and I all did this today(in the cold and wind). This is a wonderful route! We need some 5.12+ climbers to do this and see if they agree with my rating...maybe 5.11c? It's hard for we at the edge of our ability to be sure if we are rating this correctly. Give it a try. Bet you will like it! Nov 27, 2016

I worked out the whole crux yesterday and bumped up the rating to 5.11a/b (from 5.10d). Try it and see if you agree. This is a very pretty climb with lots of interesting moves. Nov 7, 2016

Erol and John can do this climb clean. I can't (yet). The many tiny micro crimps are real finger biters. After the first 10-12', the climb becomes a very nice series of 5.9 dance moves. Nov 1, 2015
