AAHRG! is located about 5 feet left of Sunken Pillar and just right of Red Pulpit but stays off of both. The crux, in my opinion, is the start. The first couple of moves on smaller edges and sidepulls to gain larger holds are an exercise in balance and power. Be sure to stay out of the crack on Sunken Pillar and off the large ledge of Red Pulpit. Finishes on large, open ledge.

See above.

Gear seems small and thin.

Finally found my way up this, after watching Angie crimp straight up beside the left Sunken Pillar crack. My version veered a little further left at the big bulge.

Which is to say, there are at least two ways of doing this line. Jul 14, 2014

After having this start spank me every time for years, last evening John and I finally worked out the start all the way up the first 15' before we ran out of light. I can hardly wait for next weekend to put it all together! I suspect we do it more like Angie and less like Doug but I've never seen either of them do it. Sep 14, 2015

If your fingers ache when you're done, you are probably doing it more like her! (I'm not that strong.) Sep 14, 2015

Finally! After more than 40 years of thrashing on this, it all came together today. What a lovely climb (once you can figure out that tricky start)! Thanks to John Markestad for the beta! Sep 27, 2015
