Description

Often overlooked for its neighbors farther right, Dacker Cracker is a great line, and though strenuous for the grade, it makes a great first dacks 5.10 due to the short length and great pro.

No move felt much easier than 5.9 though there are maybe some crux moves down low, and at a wider section right in the middle.

Highly suggested first route at the web to get a feel for the sustained jamming typical of the area.

Location

On the shorter wall to the left of the huge corner of Slim Pickins and Esethia. The obvious hand crack left of Its Only Entertainment. Walk off climbers left.

Protection

Standard rack. Takes stoppers rather well in addition to any camming device you can throw at it.

This route whose crux is close to the ground and strenuous to protect, is significantly harder than TR which is a better introduction to the crag. Sep 16, 2008

This route is sustained, overhanging and in your face from the moment you step off the ground. Although very fun, I would not recommend it for the first 10 at the Spiders Web. TR is excellent and a better introduction. Oct 12, 2009
I am sure that the respective ratings are accurate. But this route, although much shorter, worked me harder than Drop, Fly, or Die. Feb 11, 2010

I think this route is harder than Drop, Fly, or Die as well. Aug 23, 2011
There is a big slung tree at the top of the route for an easy rappel down. Jul 25, 2012

...or you could do the minute and a half walk off to climbers' left. Jul 26, 2012
My comment was a subtle way of saying that there is a slung tree available to use for top-roping if desired. A top-rope may be a good idea to get a safe feel of how challenging the route(s) are. I for one, never really even made it off the ground on this climb. Aug 15, 2012

There's a bomber knee bar at the wide section for a no-hands rest. May 14, 2013
