Description Suggest change

This is a wonderfully sustained 5.10 route from start to finish. Work your way through the first four bolts, and gain a small ledge. Clip a high bolt from the ledge, and continue past two more bolts to a two bolt anchor with chains. The crux is somewhere between bolts 5 & the chains. This route has 7 bolts total with classic Piedra crimping and hip adjustments.

NOTE: this route was originally, partially established by Alex Scott in 2014. The chains and a few bolts were placed, and the route was unfinished until now. Various Pagosa Springs locals have been working and establishing more routes on this wall, and with that, I decided to take it upon myself to complete the route.

Alex, I did not mean any offense and appreciate all that you’ve done in the canyon. I kept the route true to your original vision and hope that one day you get to enjoy it. In honor of your vision and hard work, I chose the name “Great Scott,” but if you’d like me to change it, let me know.

Location Suggest change

This route starts just right of the little fir tree, and the belay is shaded by a mighty pine.

As of now, a group of locals are planning to build a proper approach trail in the near future. For now, it’s a quick but slippery scramble up to the base of the cliff. Mod Wall is clearly visible from the trail and the very next wall after Hops Wall.
