● Original Route
Jan 5, 2025 · Lead / Onsight. What a climb. The rock quality couldn’t have been worse (in my mind lol). Quite the adventure. We replaced webbing on rappel #2 and took a different rappel route on rappel #3. We pretty much went straight down off rappel #2 to a nice Juniper and rappelled straight down from there then went left, so only 3 rappelled. We got to the top of the third pitch and pulled out from topping out due to the howling wind. For me, pitch 1 was the most heady off the start with no gear until the crack. Then where the piton was, what fun moves that is. The last pitch up looked fun… so we’ll be back. More bolts, more traffic, more safety would be rad lol. The runout on each pitch is no joke, especially with the rock quality being so poor. * did not top out.

● Dr. Rubo's Wild Ride
Nov 28, 2021 · Lead / Onsight. Boy oh boy what a fun climb. Pitches 1/2 are hard lol. Pitch two is sustained or I suck. Well I know I’m not the strongest but this thing was awesome but hard. Climbed with casey. Took us about 4 hrs car to car at a very, very leisure pace. Climbed with a single 70 and doubles from .3-3 and a #4. I would recommend tripling up on the .5, .75, 2 pieces. Helps the build a more comfortable belay stance atop pitch two rather than using the bolts.
