Access Issue: Road and Raptor Closures Details

Per Ross Andrea: Ramparts Range Road is closed December 1.

March 1st-July 31st: Devil's Head Rock, Sin City, & Recovery Wall are closed for raptor protection. The vast majority of the other crags are unaffected by the closure. Please visit:

Description

This is a large formation exactly 10 miles from Rampart Range Road and CO Hwy 67 (it would be Mile Marker 46.7 with the renumbered mile markers) on Rampart Range Road.

Getting There

See the guidebook.... It has great approach info and a pretty good map. Near what would be mile marker 46.7 on Rampart Range Road is a pullout with parking. Just back down the road across the street is a somewhat obvious trail [with a parking sign and room for a few cars]. Follow cairns for a short hike around the south side of the formation. This trail leads to the slab below the south face.
