Chile

Since 1890 Chile is becoming a great place for cradling andinism and for rock/alpine climbing . The country is almos 72% Mountains (Andes and Coastal Range) and roughly a 11% of them are hardly explorated. So there's a lifetime of new routes waiting to be open.

If Arriving to Santiago to start your journey there's a good amount of places for sport and trad. Specially Cajon del Maipo and Farellones. If you like big wall you want to go to Socaire, Cochamo valley (AKA the Yosemite of south America: big wall, bomb proof granite with great crack climbs), Palena, Cochrane and the all mighty Torres del Paine national park.

Getting There

Once you get to Santiago, you are no more than an hour away from crags, you can get Topos in local climbing shops in Santiago. If you go south, you can either fly or take a bus. Looking for a crag in the middle of nowhere... U got it!
