Original Route
Nov 6, 2025 · Lead / Onsight. Great route! P1: #3 in a hole protects the sandy slab mantle, roof was easier than it looked. P2: tricky first move, felt like 5.9, rest of pitch (including OW) felt 5.7ish… #5 useful for 1st OW, 2nd OW very easy and short so no need for a #6, can place a 0.75 though in a slot of the right wall 1/2 way up 2nd OW. P3: chimney entrance felt like 5.9 OW, rest was fine, nothing bigger than a #4 needed P4: amazing first section with creative stemming to keep it at 5.8. OW crux protected with a bolt, no need for a #5 or #6. Based on lots of Yosemite OW I’ve done, felt like a 5.10a OW, but it’s short and a fist then a jug flake get you through. P5: lean across was wild! Rap off the back of sub-summit with two single 70m rope raps
