Description
Ramble up the creek to a scenic WI2/+ headwall. Above this, descend or keep slogging up hundreds of feet of low-angle ice.
Most parties will solo, and it should be possible to walk off. Otherwise, there are abundant trees with decaying tat along the creek. The main event is about 80 feet tall.
This might be listed as "Sunnyside Falls" in Cam Burns' guidebook.
Location
This is the obvious chunk of ice on the left a couple miles out of Silverton en route to Eureka. Just over 3 miles up CR2 east of town (east of Arrastra Gulch and west of Cunningham Gulch), look for ice on the hillside to the north. Park on the side of the road and walk uphill (left of the drainage seems easiest) 200 feet to the flow.
