It's surrounded by W.M.N.F but the Shell Pond Crags are located on private property subject to a conservation easement held by Greater Lovell Land Trust. The owners and easement holders of the property have been gracious enough to allow climbing to occur on their land, but access is not guaranteed in the future. If you show up and there are numerous cars in the parking lot consider climbing at other nearby Evan’s Notch locations
Description
Start around 15 feet right of Strung Out On Laser Beams and climb a short bulge into a small right facing corner. Follow more moderate terrain through another bulge to a good stance below the roof, where you can get a nice no hands rest. Pull into the roof, making long reaches to decent holds at the lip. Make a powerful move to turn the lip, then move back right for another bolt of easier moves to the anchors.
Not the most classic at the crag, but certainly worthwhile and a great route if you like climbing in The Gunks.
