It's surrounded by W.M.N.F but the Shell Pond Crags are located on private property subject to a conservation easement held by Greater Lovell Land Trust. The owners and easement holders of the property have been gracious enough to allow climbing to occur on their land, but access is not guaranteed in the future. If you show up and there are numerous cars in the parking lot consider climbing at other nearby Evan’s Notch locations
Description
A very type one fun route. Start by climbing a series of easy ledges for the first few bolts. Climb steepening rock on good holds that aren’t always obvious, reaching a stance in a corner. Step out left to a short wall before the overhang, moving left to follow the path of least resistance. Pull the large bulge on huge holds, enjoying airy moves. Then right when you’re good and pumped, work out a puzzling sequence through holds that all seem to face the wrong way, culminating in a glorious finish jug. Pull onto the ledge above and clip the anchors, epic! The guidebook says 8 bolts but we counted 12.
