It's surrounded by W.M.N.F but the Shell Pond Crags are located on private property subject to a conservation easement held by Greater Lovell Land Trust. The owners and easement holders of the property have been gracious enough to allow climbing to occur on their land, but access is not guaranteed in the future. If you show up and there are numerous cars in the parking lot consider climbing at other nearby Evan’s Notch locations
Description
A wild traversing line. Easily gain the first bolt, then launch into a challenging sequence of sidepulls and slopers (hard when it’s hot and sunny!). Gain a cool horn that marks the end of your hardship, for now. Move right into the big sloping pod, where you can get a tenuous but crucial sit down rest. Be mindful to extend through this section. Climb out of the pod and perform the upper crux sequence to gain a big flake, then head for the anchors. This route can be adventurous to clean.
