Description Suggest change

Schism is best described as just another way to get mileage if you're already in the area. I think Angelo and I were just really excited to take the bolt kit for a long walk that day.

The route starts with a thin crack that peters out before a bolt-protected face climbing sequence and mantle into an alcove, which is probably the crux. From there, climb widening ringlocks to hands out the bulge and up a short splitter.

When I was last there (2020?), there were no established routes within 100 yards on either side, making this a good way to break up your slog if you went out looking for the Big Lady!

Location Suggest change

This, like the other routes listed to the left and right here on MP, are located on 'The Far Side', the south-facing panel between The Wall and Election Wall. Schism is roughly right in the middle of this crag, located on a chossy bench just above the 'trail' that traverses the cliff.
