Keeping climbs open depends on maintaining good relationships with locals and monks Details

A Classic: Spectacular, tall, and consistent. A difficult section right off of the ground and more consistent and moderate climbing leading through a roof to an easier slab and to the anchors. Make sure to look around at the view.

Fifth route from the left on Karaweik Wall. #5 on the Karaweik Wall Left topo photo. Start in the corner to the right of the slab on the orange rock leading upward.

12 bolts and 2 ring anchors. Stainless Steel Wave glue-in bolts installed 05/19/2016.

Pumpy, bouldery start leads to a bit of fun face climbing, which leads to another bouldery-ish part, which leads to a jug-bashing finish! So glad we took this one all the way to the top of the wall. Enjoy! Jun 11, 2016
