Access Issue: Keeping climbs open depends on maintaining good relationships with locals and monks Details
This climbing area is intertwined with monasteries and pagodas. It is critical for climbing in Myanmar to maintain these relationships through respectful conduct with the monks and the surrounding areas. Please be modest, respectful, friendly, and responsive to the wishes of the monks and local people. Do not climb on religious monuments, and remove shoes when crossing over established pagoda areas.
Easy-going start leads to a fun, small roof pull on good holds. Rock up over that lip, then clip the anchors! Don't head left into the chimney, there are some loose blocks. Follow the bolt line over the roof. All of the holds are there.
Third from the left on Karaweik Wall. #3 on the Karaweik Wall Left topo photo. Starts on the slab and continues up the middle of the wall and over the roof. Anchors are placed a little to the left of where the climb takes you in order to ease rope drag and assist with cleaning.
