This is the free standing pillar with a striking green streaked face and clean double arete profile.

An area classic that should not be missed.

Start on the left side of the pillar climbing the left-hand arete, move right onto the face for a bit then out to the right-hand arete for a while then back left again below the anchor. Airy, technical, and exciting!

Great climb, but it seemed like pretty much every bolt was a spinner. Next time I'll bring a wrench. May 28, 2012

Bear hug the wall on tiny feet through the lower crux. Great fun! Oct 21, 2012

Fun moves, and sequences let you zig-zag your way up the column. Word of advice: don't climb this route when it's very windy since you may get knocked off balance :) Mar 17, 2014

I climbed this today and was reminded of just how terrible the majority of the bolts are on this pitch. Apart from the first bolt, the rest should be replaced.

Still, such a fun, exposed pitch of column climbing! Just hope it stays standing as you're climbing it! Feb 16, 2016

If I were to place bets on which column is going to fall over next at Vantage, I think it might be this one May 16, 2017

That's probably a safe bet Geoff! Better climb it while you still can. May 17, 2017
