Access Issue: Voluntary raptor closure
Details
Please avoid climbing on the far western side of Middle East Wall where there may be an active nest site on the route "Australian Dick Wrestling", approximately through July 15, 2019. More information is being gathered on the specific species.
Description
Thin crack and stemming route with a couple of reasonable bonus moves mid-pitch. Good friction.
Protection
Several good small-medium nut placements available at the start, then several good small cam placements follow (for example Metolius small yellows and blues, 2X each.) I managed to place a #2 gold camalot in a little pod, but not sure where a #3 would go.(?) A white-painted pin makes thin moves mid-pitch feel cozy. The line is climbable directly up to a point level with the Focal Point anchors; optionally use a long sling to clip a bolt and/or piton around the arete. Alternatively, sneak over to Focal Point at the bolt/pin to avoid the last couple of stemming moves. Use Focal Point anchors.
