Access Issue: Red Rock RAIN AND WET ROCK: The sandstone is fragile and is very easily damaged when wet. Details

Climb up the face onto a hallow flake, traverse under the roof (bail slings), pull roof into 1" crack continue up the crack to the anchor.

Up hill and right of Pillar Talk.
Rap off anchor on a tree with double ropes.

This is a good area to escape the masses. A great climb with a good crux. This one will get your attention. It is possible to climb and rap with a 70m rope.
The Dean scored on this one. Mar 21, 2008
Second mike's comment on the 70. No way would I lug 2 ropes for this one knowing that the 70 is legit. Big Iron just to the left looks interesting... Feb 8, 2012

i TR'd this after doing second tier climbs. the gear looked a bit sketch until you pull into the roof, which is a solid .9. I carried down a medium size flake that loosened as we rapped. do it if you are in the area May 7, 2014
