Description

A large chimney near the middle of the north side of Cueva. A single large chockstone rests about 15m up the chimney. Once the top of the chimney is reached, gain the summit by face climbing on the right-hand wall, up a short crack. The descent can be found by scrambling off or finding rap-bolts over This is not a test.

Protection

Few and far between, unless you have extra-large gear. There are enough places to make the route protectable, but a fall would not be pretty.

I dubbed this route "Width of Reason" because it looks just wide enough, (not too large or small) where you can reason to yourself that it can be "safely" soloed. Without big bros, it doesn't protect well anyways. There is some loose rock on it, and the large chockstone pivots slightly, although I believe it is solidly wedged into the chimney. Jan 27, 2006
