Description
The north Face of Snickers is a wall that is in the shade much of the day and consequently nice on hot days. The rock features a lot of good gray varnish.
Destination routes include the cracks Funny Bone (5.8), Norwegian Wood (5.9) and Don't Think Just Jump (5.10a) and Crime of the Century (5.11a). There are a couple of newer bolted routes as well - Humerus (5.10b) and Joyride (5.11c).
Getting There
Park at the Echo Tee parking lot. Follow the trail past Pope's Crack and Swept Away (the east end of Echo Rock), then look for a well-worn trail that heads off right of center. The north face of Snickers can't really be seen from Swept Away but will come into view as you follow the well-worn trail toward the crag.
Total approach time is 10-15 minutes of mostly flat walking. In mid-March, the north face goes into the shade about 10am. In December, the cliff is in the shade almost all day.
