Description

Becker is located on the NW face of Long John's Tower. Locate the two parallel cracks, which are 20-30 feet right of a wide crack called Big House and climb them. The beginning of Becker is easily accessed from the left by bouldering up to a good-sized belay ledge. Awkward jams and an odd wide exit leads to a double bolt belay. Fun climb with unique jams and moves, painful at times, and definately hard for its grade.

Protection

Standard rack, a #4 Camalot is useful.

Amen to that - definitely hard for the grade.

5.7 is the grade listed in the latest guidebook for the area and apeared to me to be accurate. A good climb with a tricky crux.
