Description
A classic Canadian Rockies ski descent! Start the approach from the gate of the Moraine Lake access. Skin for about a mile to a junction with the Paradise Valley Trail. Skin to Annette Lake and hang a left beneath the beautiful and imposing north face of Mount Temple. Skin to the col of Little Temple and you will be directly beneath the Aemmer.
There’s not too much else to be said from there. Climb it, ski it, enjoy it. It’s a fantastic ski and very aesthetic. The couloir gets progressively steeper and narrower, up to 50 degrees, until it eases off just a few feet from the top. There is often a cornice, we were able to bypass this to the right.
