Access Issue: NO DRONES ON NATIONAL PARKLANDS
Details
All of the crags within the New River Gorge proper are on national parklands, and drone use is prohibited here. There has been some discussion about places to launch drones that are not on park property, and then flying them over the gorge. This is super poor form; don't do it. Park regulations prohibit all drone use over the boundaries without a permit.
Description
Are you bored?! Are you looking for a way to get a rope on Stim-O-Stam, but you're not strong enough and The Prowesse scares you? Do you like the Party routes but they're busy? Have I got a goofy novelty for you!
Start on Freaky and traverse into Stim-O-Stam about 2/3 of the way up. I'm not sure how many bolts up Freaky you go because I led it placing my own gear. Doing it this way I felt like I was having an equally enjoyable experience to the Party routes, albeit a bit shorter and a little more runout. Have fun! Another fun alternative would be to climb Stim-O-Stam into Freaky, adding another series of crux moves. Freaky can also be led on gear for those on the hunt for such a contrived challenge.
