Access Issue: Seasonal raptor closing on Ballfield Slabs.
Details
Ballfield Slabs may be closed if raptor nesting is discovered in the area. Per CT-DEEP, the Ballfield slabs have historically been closed when there are nesting raptors in the area, typically May - August. Check raggedmtn.org/blog for information if there are current closures.
It's an OFF-WIDTH!!!
Slab climb crimps from inside corner to dynamic move under block (or crawl along chossy arete). Stay on line with the crack for full credit. Some people traverse all the way right to arete then back in to avoid crux pull (5.7)
Eats gear, #5 recommended but not necessary.
Route is 15meters rap is 20 meters.
Tree for anchor is about 12ft from edge of route, please protect tree from rope burn, it's the only option. Easy walk up and walk off from red trail.
