Description
A nice climb of lower difficulty. Trees on top can be used for a rappel although I did not find any slings in 2014.
Location
Park at a plowed (hopefully) turnout that is opposite the Ice Palace area North Loop trailhead. This is on the left side of the road about 24.6 miles from the junction of 11 and 17 in Nipigon (or 7.3 miles beyond Mellow Yellow).
A great resource for finding more remote Orient Bay climbs in deep snow is Wes Bender's summary of GPS locations found on the Alpine Club of Canada Thunder Bay section website:

The first time I tried to find this climb I plowed through deep snow for several hours without finding it due to wrong directions in a 1993 guidebook.
Wes's coordinates for this climb are:
49.321411 N, -88.127433 W
Hike west/southwest down the unplowed Scenic View road. You will cross a bridge followed by railroad tracks. Stay on the road and perhaps a hundred yards past the tracks there will be a tied ribbon and a pie tin in a tree on the left. Leave the road and angle up and right to the climb. As done this way you will not see the climb until you are right on it. If instead you continue up the road past the marked tree you will see the climb with a more directly uphill approach.
I didn't measure the distance but the approach is probably 1/2 to 3/4 mile.
