Description

Begin by going up Boat Ramp, then follow the bolts up an overhanging arete where the ramp goes left. The route follows 4 bolts and traverses over to a pillar or curtain, then up to the top. This was the 1998 woman's comp route.

Location

Next to Boat Ramp.

Protection

Ice screws, QDs, and/or slings for the 4 bolts. A Park employee said that anchoring to the telephone pole and guard rail is kosher.

Be careful if trying this route when the large pillar is in, especially if it is not well supported on bottom. I pulled on to it on top rope only to have it give way and cause a ruckus. If it landed on someone, they almost certainly would have been killed. On lead, I don't recommend placing any screws until your feet are over the bulge. Jan 15, 2008

TRUE, watch out for the pillar, it broke a friend's leg. Jan 30, 2009
