Description

This is a fine route. Clipping the 3rd bolt is a bit spicy but you are on good holds so stick with it. Depending on how the ice forms it can be a piece of cake or a sting in the tail at the top. This route is very pumpy for the grade and fairly tecnical at the mid section.

Protection

10-12 quickdraws for bolts and fixed gear, and a few srews for the start and end. You will be cliping a fixed Specter on this route so be prepared. It is very fixed as is as "good" as specters get.

Toprope Protection

Ice screws at top of route.

According to legend this was an old Ice Fest comp route, yes put up by Jeff Lowe. It's a little of a spicey lead (2009) without draws hanging on it, as it would be easy to fall onto the slab below while you're heading up the arete. Feb 12, 2009

I believe Jeff Lowe put up the FA, but I could be mistaken. Jan 30, 2009
