The Joshua Tree National Park Superintendent's Compendium states that:
1. Vegetation is not allowed to be used as an anchor.
2. Only neutral or rock colored bolt hangers are allowed.

Description
Climb the initial crack of Nutcracker to a large horizontal crack. Continue up over a bulge to a horizontal crack (small gear), then up to a bolt. Continue up the runout face above, passing a thin horizontal crack (small gear) to the top.
Anchor of finger and hand-sized cams. Anchor rope needed to rig a TR.
