Note that the annual closures of the Park View Dome, The Ranch Hand, Black Creek Wall, and Sawmill Crag have been permanently lifted. These cliffs will continue to be monitored, but will only close if a new nest is spotted.
Description
Situated on the west side of the Meadow Dome, the Tan Corridor offers steep vertical climbing with fun and interesting face holds. Most routes here range from 60 to 80 feet and are either sport or mixed lines. Most of the routes are shaded until 1:30pm in the summer, and with help from the trees, some of the routes are shaded most of the day.
For ease of navigation we have split this area into Upper and Lower sections. The Upper Tan Corridor contains some of the best 10's and 11's at Staunton and is not to be missed!
Getting There
Follow directions to the Meadow Dome. From the Meadow Dome, head west along the climber access trail. After a couple minutes of hiking, take the first spur off to the north (signed Tan Corridor/Dungeon/Marmot Tower), which leads to the Dungeon and Tan Corridor. Follow the right hand fork and make your way up a series of stone stairs into the Tan Corridor. Do not try to approach via the gulley above the Permission Wall.
