Falcon Closures Details

Description

Black and Tan was originally a mostly bolted route with a scary crux over tiny gear. This route has now been fully bolted (with approval from the FA and the SSPFHRG) and makes for a fun lead. Start on the boulder at the top of the corridor, and follow 11 bolts through a couple steep bulges.

Location

This is at the top of the Tan Corridor. It is easily identified by the large boulder at the base.

Protection

11 bolts.

With regards to the stick clip beta: if you don't feel comfortable getting to the first bolt, you can place a bomber #0.4 Camalot while standing on the boulder to protect the moves getting to the bolt. Otherwise, there are plenty of sticks around to fashion a stick clip out of. Sep 18, 2017

This was the only route that I would have wanted a stick clip for. Still did it fine but was a bit sketchy. Sep 18, 2017

The first bolt is very high, even if you start on top of the boulder. The moves are very doable, but I would have really appreciated a stick clip. Jul 16, 2017
