Access Issue: Permit Not Currently Required Details

A permit was once required to rock climb at Moss Island, but since 2010, does not appear to be required anymore. There is an issue getting medical vehicles to the island, so be aware. This fact may affect the permit situation in the future.

Description

Look for the obvious rock formation to the right of the 4th class ascent route between Windex and the roof in the corner on the right. Start directly under the overhang. Good hands! Walk your feet up and pop up to the big ledge above. Move left and bypass the overhang on the left. Easy climbing above gets you to the ascent route so you can traverse left and easily down climb. Looks intimidating, but the climbing is easy.
