Access Issue: Permit Not Currently Required Details

A permit was once required to rock climb at Moss Island, but since 2010, does not appear to be required anymore. There is an issue getting medical vehicles to the island, so be aware. This fact may affect the permit situation in the future.

Description

Directly beneath the widest point of the roof starts this tough climb. Crank through hard moves on small slots straight out the middle of the roof. Start directly below an outside corner above the widest peak of the roof.

A variation is The Buffoon (5.9) that goes out the roof on the left.

A second variation is The Fool (5.10-)* that goes out the roof on the night.
