Description Suggest change

Great pocket climbing along a steep arete gives way to explosive compression along a box arete. Phenomenal climbing! It has cleaned up very well, but treat the sandstone pockets gently of course.

IMPORTANT: The 7th clip keeps the rope running smoothly over the lip of the roof, and away from sharper rock to the side. With a regular length draw, the rope touches the draw, and not the rock. This bolt absolutely must be clipped for top roping or lowering when the other draws are clipped. You can clean/remove the draws on the way down, as it does not tension against the lip of the roof. In a desperate fight for the FA, I skipped the clip, clipped the sling at the no-hands rest, rested, then reached down to clip the draw before proceeding to the anchor.

Location Suggest change

Left around the corner from Posiden's Fury. Starts at a small dirt ledge with belay bolt.

Protection Suggest change

9 bolts. 7th bolt must be clipped before weighting the rope. 8th bolt needs a sling.
