Description Suggest change

A wild alternate to Hillman's Highway and an amazing ski descent when conditions permit. Take the same approach as Hillman's Highway, about a third of the way up, take a variation gully to climber's left. It should be pretty obvious which one leads to Dodge's. After a boring slog up the bushy gully, the fun begins. Enter the rock couloir, at the choke point, there may be a non-vertical ice bulge. Some years it's all snow, but in lean years it can ice up. Beyond this, the snow get's progressively steeper (up to 50+ degrees), then splits into 2 variations. Both are similar. You may need to navigate around a cornice at the top. The route finishes on the summit plateau of Boott Spur, just a few feet below the high point.

Location Suggest change

From the Sherburne Ski Trail, head uphill and take the left hand split to the base of Hillman's Highway. Ascend about a third of the way up, then look for a variation gully to the left side.

Protection Suggest change

Pickets and a few screws if the ice is in, though most will solo.
