Description
The tall section of the wall, about in the middle of the cliff, with routes up to four pitches in length. Home to its namesake 4 pitch 5.8+ The RGC (Roger Gagne Classic) that angles up and right across the wall, as well as some great 11s and 12s (and a few old unfinished projects that I better drag my ass back to and finish)
Getting There
From the approach trail, walk along the cliff to the left about 50 feet. Above you, up a slope, will be the large corner and gully of "The Smoky Dike", that marks the right boundary of this area. The trail then drops down and runs under a steep section of the face until the space for walking narrows down and you step up onto a flat boulder with a corner and wide crack start of "Owl's Highway" above. Step off the boulder, around an arete, into a big corner and then a series of smaller, shorter ones that are the starts of "Crack of the World" and "The RGC", making up the left hand boundary of this section. Continuing past, you come to the tall bolted arete of "Butolicious" and high above there is an enormous slot with the Texas Flake making up the right side, the beginning of the Sporty Area.
