RAPTOR CLOSURES: please be aware of seasonal raptor closures. They occur annually in the spring. Indian Creek Raptor Closure walls include: Echos, The Wall, Far Side, Original Meat, Tenderloins, Second Meat, First Meat, Selfish, Six Star, Cliffs of Insanity, Public Service Wall, Disappointment Cliffs, Fin Wall, Broken Tooth, Cat Wall, Slug Wall, Reservoir Wall, Critic’s Choice.
Description
A beautifully varnished wall at Indian Creek with a dozen or so stellar crack lines. This wall is atypical of Indian Creek in that many of the lines fall in the 5.10 range. The sizes are mostly in the hands and wide hands ranges, but some smaller stuff does exist there. It is a good wall to climb during colder months, because it is south facing and gets good sun.
Getting There
Locate the first dirt road on the right past the Disappointment Cliffs. Pass the gate, and from here it's is 1.5 miles to the trailhead. Lower clearance vehicles can drive the first mile, but the final half mile is very washed out and would require very high clearance and probably 4WD.
There's a few forks along the way:
0.5 miles turn left (straight goes to 1st Meat Wall)
100 feet stay right
0.35 miles turn left (straight goes to 2nd Meat Wall)
Find a spot to park in the next 0.15 miles, before or just after the next wash crossing. There's not many, so park early if it's looking busy.
Hike 0.5 miles up the washed out road until the obvious boulder on the right. The trail up starts on your left (continuing straight would take you to the Tenderloins).
