Always looking for fun, safe people to climb with. Climb at Movement. Big skier in the winter, mostly at Winter Park, also getting more into the backcountry. Love sport climbing, love trad climbing, love alpine climbing. If you want to get after some cool objectives in rock shoes, on skis, or both, hit me up!
Jul 27, 2022 · Lead / Redpoint. With Eli to practice with twin/half ropes. Not sold on them exactly. No issues, but unless a descent specifically needs full length raps, probably wouldn't use. I lead P1 (3 pieces) and combined 4/5 with 70s no problem.
Jul 24, 2022 · Lead / Fell/Hung. Second go. Did the jump move and stuck it, the fell shortly after. All in all, not too bad. Just commit to the R hand and do a little hop. The upper bit is still just super pumpy with very little opportunity for rest. Traverse far R after jump move to get as high onto layback. Trust the L, couple moves, the up to the deeper L jug. Rest. R on blocky bit? L to U shaped crimp thing, R to poor-looking crimp, bump L foot, then it's good. Clip. L to hole, but stay low. If thumb is on big crystal, too far up. Maybe try to move L foot. Swing onto crimp w/ R and jet left for the slopey jug. Next bit, unsure on exact beta. Need to get high for R hand? Or put R hand on jug and cross over L?
Jul 24, 2022 · Lead / Fell/Hung. First go to feel it out. Draws from other party were hung up to bolt 8. Got to the ledge no problem, the move to the lip felt precarious, so just pulled through as other group was waiting to get on. The rest was pumpy, sequency, and steep. Did just about all the moves. Nothing felt especially hard, minus the swing onto the R crimp.
Jul 22, 2022 · Lead / Fell/Hung. Had a hard time getting to the roof. 3rd clip is intense. Roof is easy once you find the holds. Upper slab may be tricky. The bulge was tough, and pulled on draw to get through. Undercling?
