Jul 24, 2026 · 3 pitches. Lead. With Darren Albright. 19 hrs C2C with the Mountaineer's Creek approach 4hrs, 45 mns) and Sherpa Pass descent. 5 hrs on route. I would highly caution the Sherpa Pass descent unless you're fully aware of how complicated and convoluted it is. Sure it saves you the car shuttle, but Better make sure you have the energy for quite a bit of suffering and frustrating route finding after you top out the CNR. Brutal. Just do the Cascadian descent.

May 16, 2026 · Lead. Amazing day, marred by an awkward fall out of the PC that left me with with a rib injury. Argh. That maw can spit you out at any time! I made the mistake of trying to lead all of the PC pitch from the chockstone belay to the small alcove belay 20' above the exit of the PC. This left 120' plus of rope out as i was pulling through the crux of the PC. Foot popped and with rope stretch I landed on the slab 20' later. Painful rib issues still. To avoid this, do the smart thing by bringing up the second to the cordage belay just below the chimney crux. It can be backed up with a #3 and #2. This allows the leader to be in line of sight with the belayer as well as less rope to stretch in case you whip! Still a beautiful day out there! With Jean Michael.
