Description
I climbed one of the Sanctuary extensions over the summer. Climb Sanctuary to the chains, de-pump, and then air it out on the enormous flake to the right. A word of caution: We talked quite a bit about thru-bolting this flake, but have not yet done so. Climbing on this flake is genuinely spooky so I would definitely recommend some caution to anyone trying this. After leaving the flake, make hard and compact moves (crux) to get established on the face. Continue on up clipping before eventually breaking right and into the choss zone of cathedral direct, clipping two more bolts before reaching a ledge and two bolt anchor.
Going straight up into the final bolt of the direct finish on the headwall has not been done and remains a project.
