Warning Access Issue: Seasonal Raptor Closures DetailsDrop down

Description Suggest change

Climbs up and slightly left gradually steepening until you pass the 4th bolt(crux). 3 more bolts lead past lower angle climbing to the 8th and final bolt protecting one more short steep section to the 2 bolt anchor equipped with chains.

Rappel or scramble to the west where you can climb 1 more short pitch of 5.6R past 1 bolt on the southeast corner of the true summit of the formation.

I’d recommend the latter as 6 condors landed with us just as we topped out on the highpoint of this epic formation!

Location Suggest change

Left side of the north face. Look for a bolt above the mossy area to the right of a crack and some holes.
