Warning Access Issue: Seasonal Raptor Closures DetailsDrop down

Description Suggest change

This is a loose and runout route which has, thankfully, been ignored then lost through the annals of time. It is not recommended as a climb but is included in the database as a geographical reference for the important condor nesting closure on Machete Ridge.

You have better things to do at the Pinnacles than climb this route. Believe me.

Location Suggest change

There is a large alcove to the right(west) of the area containing the popular routes Twinkle Toes Traverse, Dos Equiis, Corona and Beyond Destiny. The left edge of this alcove is where the West Face route begins. Pigeon Crack begins a bit right of the start of the West Face route.

Protection Suggest change

Don't count on any reliable protection on this route including an anchor.
