Description Suggest change

This unnamed mini-tower has a short but fun toprope on its South Face. Stepping off a perch, we trended slightly right at the bottom on good holds (some questionable rock) then back left 10 feet higher along the line of the strata to a line of spaced holds up a blank-looking section. This was the crux, and it had reachy, powerful moves. Eight more feet of easier climbing gets you to the top.

Location Suggest change

First locate the Broom, where there are currently two bolted routes—“Done and Dusted” and “Clean Sweep”.  From the Broom, go down and East 200 feet, then go North and up to the base of Shanahang (some easy slabs need to be negotiated). This route goes up a South face with yellow lichen approximately 150 feet NE (as the crow flies) of the Broom.

Protection Suggest change

To set up the toprope, climb the easy North side on the mini-tower. We used mid-sized cams and even tied off a tree or two. Several long slings or cords would be handy for building and equalizing the anchor.
