ALL SEASONAL CLIMBING CLOSURES FOR CLIMBING AND SLACKLINING WILL BE LIFTED ON FRIDAY, JULY 7TH THIS WEEK.
THANKS, EVERYONE FOR YOUR HELP IN OBSERVING RESTRICTIONS DURING THE NESTING SEASON!
There are many seasonal raptor closures with varying dates and specific boundaries. These generally effect The Monument, Kiss of the Lepers, Picnic Lunch Wall and/or Smith Rock group, and possibly elsewhere. These usually run from February to the beginning of August, but each closure is usually shorter than this, and is dependent on the birds' behavior. Description
Thin climbing just after the third bolt leads to some more thin sequences above. I'm unsure as to what was meant for the start of this route. You can start left and traverse from Kunza after a couple moves (what I opted for), stack boulders and reach the overhanging holds, or start far right and have the rope run over the edge of the overhang (if first bolt clipped). There is also a decent gap between bolts one and two where you could hit the ground if you fell. Solid rock after bolt two. Decent rock before then. Maybe best as a TR after Kunza Korner?
