Most of the 14-acre property at Hanging Mountain has been designated as Priority Habitat by MassWildlife’s Natural Heritage & Endangered Species Program (NHESP). As a result, Hanging Mountain and any work performed there is heavily regulated to ensure that the WMCC is in compliance with the Massachusetts Endangered Species Act and Wetlands Protection Act.

Description
Leprosy Arete is an alternate second pitch of Papillion.
From top of pitch 1 of Papillon go up right of the roof above then veer right up the slab to a small roof at the base of the arete. Clip the bolts up the arete step left at the overlap at the top. Save a nut for the last bit to the top.
Lower from here to the anchor below, and rap to the ground with a 60m rope.
