Access Issue: Seasonal Raptor Closures & Rockfall Mitigation Project Details

Description

The crux is probably the first overhang off the ground. Most of climb is easy with big holds. Several loose blocks were removed, so expect some dirt. Help out and bring a brush.

Location

It is 20 feet right of Bicolored Python Rock Snake.

Protection

9 bolts to 2-bolt anchor with chains shared with Elephant's Child.

This climb is fun and would make a good warm-up. I thought the start was more difficult than Elephant's Child to the right. There is some dirt in places but nothing too bad. Mar 16, 2016

Juggiest route I've ever climbed outdoors, just truly massive holds the whole way up. An easy, enjoyable warm-up, but, in no universe is the start 5.6, more like 5.8, unless I just completely missed the intended line. It can be skipped though, if you want, by scrambling up several feet left of the line proper. Oct 16, 2016

Agreed on the start. Pretty stout. Thx for the skipping idea, Noah. Nov 20, 2017

Came back today to lead this. I was able to, but I still believe the initial roof is not 5.6. Fun route, though. Apr 27, 2018
