Access Issue: Seasonal Raptor Closures & Rockfall Mitigation Project Details

Description

Start with steep climbing on good holds, and finish on lower angle but smaller holds. Two big ledges mar the route, but it has lots of good climbing.

Location

Begin just right of Labby.

Protection

9 bolts to a 2-bolt anchor on Labby.

This route is more fun than Hobbes to the right that starts out the same. Jan 18, 2015

Some nice slab moves in the middle section. Nov 3, 2015

The very strenuous moves from the ground up to the 3rd bolt make this a 5.9 IMO. It seemed like the intended line was right of the 2nd bolt, but I couldn't find any holds there, so I went left. The upper section was easier and more enjoyable, particularly the slab parts. Oct 16, 2016

Pulling up over the bulge at the second bolt is not 5.8. 5.9- or 5.9 is closer. May 6, 2017
