The USFS will be frequently monitoring the Peregrine Falcons so that they can open areas as soon as possible. Successful partnership with the Forest Service biologists has allowed for closure of select routes, instead of the entire walls or crags, and we ask that climbers adhere to these closures. If you have questions, concerns, or would like to report a bird sighting, please reach out to the Northern Arizona Climbers Coalition at nazcc@nazcc.org or the US Forest Service @ 928-526-0866 and ask to speak with a biologist."
Description
The Creature could be your worst nightmare till you figure out the boulder problem start. Stick clipping the first bolt may be a prudent move if the grade is your limit or even if it’s not. An engaging and varied route with fairly good stone.
Start on gothic features at an undercut roof to small tricky holds in the little left facing dihedral. Soon enough there is a series of jugs in the seam. Move right onto slabby face and small hand and foot holds. Boulder one move to more jugs and a natural break at a conspicuous arête feature. Climb up the dihedral until you can move left onto the arête. Scamper up to the hanging chain anchors.
